■富士山の景観 ／ Scenery of Mount Fuji
・清水港、三保の松原、日本平からの富士山の景観は素晴らしい
・「薩埵峠」からは、雪の富士山、伊豆半島、駿河湾を一望でき、そのダイナミックな景観に感動した
・The views of Shimizu Port, Miho no Matsubara, and Mt. Fuji from Nihondaira are wonderful.
・From the "Satta Pass", I could see the snow-covered Mt. Fuji, the Izu Peninsula, and Suruga Bay. That’s so amazing!
■清水の歴史 ／ History of Shimizu
・清水港は日本三大美港と言われるだけあって、非常に美しい港だった
・「国宝・久能山東照宮」「世界文化遺産三保の松原」を始め多くの遺産・歴史・文化のある街だった
・旧東海道五十三次の４つの宿場町があることを知った
・徳川家、今川家、武田家などの史跡や物語が多くある
・I have been told that Shimizu Port is one of the top 3 beautiful ports in Japan and fount it was true! The view of mt. Fuji from our boat was stunning!
・Within a short ride of taxi we could visit special Japanese sightseeing spots like "Kunozan Toshogu shrine, Miho-no-Matsubara. Both of them are part of Japan's national treadure.
■清水次郎⾧について ／ Shimizu Jirocho
・清水港の咸臨丸事件に関わる壮士の墓と清水次郎⾧の話は、船宿「末広」で初めて聞いた
・清水次郎⾧生家で次郎⾧の生涯の話しを聞き、やくざの親分のイメージが変わった
・清水湊の開発や徳川慶喜の警備などいろいろ知れた
・We visited the birthplace and Seamen's Inn of Jirocho Shimizu, who is famous for Shimizu.
・I heard that he was a big boss of outlow group when he was young. However, he grew up, he made a great contribution to the town, such as the development of Shimizu Port and the export of Japanese tea. It was very interesting story.
■清水のおいしい食べ物 ／ Tasty foods in Shimizu
・清水は、四季折々の「海の幸」「山の幸」に恵まれていて何でもおいしい
・桜エビのかき揚げやマグロの寿司などほんとにおいしかった
・この地域しかない「黒はんぺん」や「モツカレー」なども食べられた
・興津地区が「あんこ屋さんの町」ということを聞き、面白かった
・Shimizu is blessed with seasonal "seafood" and "mountain food" and everything is delicious.
・The sakura shrimp kakiage and tuna sushi were really delicious.
・I was able to eat “Kurohanpen” and “Motsu Curry” that are only available in this area.
・It was interesting to hear that the Okitsu district is a town where red bean paste industry was born.
■清水のサイクリングコース ／ Cycling course
・清水のサイクリングコースはJR 清水駅から観光地を簡単に回れる距離で、観光にちょうど良い
・特に、清水区の清水駅～三保～久能地区は、平坦地の自転車専用道路が完備していて、安心して走れた（外国人）
・三保と久能地区をサイクリングしたが、富士山や海の景観が素晴らしく、感動した.
・三保松原の広い海岸でガイドの人たちと、富士山の景観を見ながらお弁当を食べた。おいしかった。
・電動アシスト自転車に始めて乗ったがとても楽に走れた
・We could easily go around sightseeing spots from JR Shimizu station on these cycling course.
・In particular, the area between Shimizu Station to/from Miho or Kuno is equipped with flat bicycle roads, so I was able to ride safely. (An impression of a foreiger)
・I rode a bike through the Miho and Kuno districts, and was impressed by the wonderful scenery of Mt. Fuji and the sea.
・Taking Obento lunch bought at convenience store while sitting on a beach of Miho-no-matsubara was unforgettable experience.
・I rode an electric assist bicycle for the first time, It was fantastic!
■From a foreigner living in Shimizu ／ 清水在住外国人の方から
・It was my first visit to historical temples and townscapes in the Okitsu, Yui, and Kambara districts, and it was very interesting.
・Next time, I want to visit the Tokaido Hiroshige Museum by myself and take my time to see the Ukiyo-e prints.
・興津、由比、蒲原地区の歴史のある寺院や町並みを初めて訪れたが、とても興味深かった
・今度は、自分一人で訪れて、東海道広重美術館の浮世絵をゆっくり見たい。
■Impressions of volunteer guides ／ ボランティアガイドへの感想（外国人観光客）
・The volunteer guides were waiting at each facility around the port and kindly guided us.
・Walking distance from the ship include the Shimizu Port museum, old seamen's inns, local temples, Jirocho's birth house, shrines, etc. There are facilities, so I was able to get around easily.
・It was nice to have a free English-speaking guide there.
・There was a charge for the Verkehr Museum, but it was great to learn about Shimizu Port.
・I was able to learn about Japanese culture, such as local traditional buildings, temples, and shrines.
・Taking a picture in the costume of an old Japanese traveler, which became a memorial
・At the shrine, I was taught how to pray. Then I wrote my wishes on wooden plaques called "ema" and hung them up.
・Unlike Japan's famous tourist spots, I was able to get around quietly.
・I had a great time chatting with the local guides.
・ボランティアガイドの皆さんが、各施設で待っていて、親切に案内をしてくれました
・船から下りて歩いて行ける所に清水港の博物館や昔からの船宿、地方のお寺、次郎⾧生家、神社などの施設があり、簡単に、安心して回れた。
・４つの施設は無料で英語のガイドをしてもらえ良かった
・フェルケール博物館は有料だったが、清水港のことを知れて、とてもよかった。
・地方の伝統的な建物、お寺、神社など、日本の文化を知ることができた。
・日本の昔の旅人のコスチュームを着て写真を撮り、記念となった
・神社では、お参りの仕方を教わった。そして、「絵馬」という木の札に願い事を書いて掛けてきた
・日本の有名な観光地と違い、静かにゆっくりと回れた。
・地元のガイドの皆さんと楽しい会話の時間を過ごした。
